During 18 years of trade The Mediterranean Food Co. have been importers and retailers of select produce from the heart of Europe. Our unique range includes imported salami, cheese, olive oil, pasta, olives, vinegar and wines. In addition, we have a range of house made products like fresh bread, takeaway lasagna, tiramisu and many more. Like the very best olives, our European suppliers are handpicked to bring you the very best authentic produce from olive oils to wine, salami to pasta.

With a menu inspired by our own imported products, you can try the most authentic Italian pizza in Canterbury or our legendary Tiramisu. The Mediterranean Food Company will without a doubt make your special day a truly memorable one. Our Cafe is available for functions, wine tastings and catering.
Tuscan style Deli
Mediterranean Food Company Deli stock a wide range of Italian Salami, Mortadella, Prosciutto, Speck and other meats, vacuum packed or freshly sliced.
Besides meat, our cheese range includes a very finest gourmet cheese from rich, full-flavoured Gorgonzola, Italian Classics Parmigiano Reggiano and Grana Padano to creamy French Brie. We also supply a variety of soft cheeses like Burrata, Mascarpone, Mozzarella, Ricotta, Halloumi and Feta.
Riverside market
Meet the little brother of our main store in 322 Tuam Street. Opened in September 2019, our retail extension is a great addition to the new upbeat development in Christchurch Central City. This is unquestionably one of the most exciting projects and we definitely couldn’t be more proud of the outcome.
